When Camden Middle School was replacing the desks and chairs in their school, they contacted PWH to see if we could find a location for the more than 100 desks and chairs that were destined for the dump. They had heard about the school PWH had developed in the slum of Dhaka City, Bangladesh in honor of Elizabeth McLellan's brother. Mr. Chip's School for Social Development opened in March, 2015 with new furniture and school supples provided by PWH. When Elizabeth heard of the availability of this school furniture, she worked diligently for months to find a way to get the supplies to a school in need. Eventually, PWH partnered with Jezreel International based in Albany, NY, and at the end of August, a 40' container filled with desks, chairs and books was packed and shipped to Haiti. This was a fabulous group effort to help keep our environment more clean and to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate!
