Partners for World Health cares about what happened in Nepal this year, and we are doing something about it! On a hot day in July, we shipped a 40" container filled with beds, exam tables, wheelchairs, over 100 pairs of crutches and many, many boxes of medical supplies to the Katmandu Orthopedic Hospital. Packed by our dedicated PWH volunteers, it is on its way across the sea to help those in need!
The devastation that occurred in Nepal left a sea of sadness in its wake. With the loss of over 7,000 lives and over 10,000 people injured, we should all be trying to help make a difference. This environmental disaster could occur anywhere in the world. There are people all over needing attention and service, laying on mats on the floor, cold and shaking. Nepal's overburdened system cannot make it without help. They will run out of the necessary supplies to provide healthcare to all who need it. It is the responsibility of all of us tto help.
Partners for World Health is the first organization in Maine to send a containe of medical supplies to Nepal. Be part of something big and come see what PWH is all about!
